We all want to look, feel, and smell our best. However, even though most of us shower every day and wash, the hot, humid summer months, anxiety, and even some medical conditions can leave us feeling and smelling less than fresh. So how can you get that clean, fresh, just out of the shower feeling to last all day long? Let’s look at some ways to make sure you are always coming up roses.

A shower or bath seems like an obvious choice to help you stay smelling fresh…and it is! But there are some things to think about as you are showering that can make all the difference. Most people shower every day, especially if they are active, but even you just wash up in the sink, there are several areas to target. However, be sure to focus on the parts of your body where the majority of sweat glands can be found. These include the armpits as well as the front and backside. Make sure they get a good clean wash with soap and water.

After you shower or wash, you can use scented lotions, cream, and fragrances. They are the most effective if applied right out of the shower after you towel dry. You can often find sets of fragrances that include body wash, lotion, and perfume. My personal favorite is coconut scented – even in the dead of winter, I like to smell like the beach. Whichever you choose, make sure you use enough so that the scent lingers on your skin, keeping you smelling and feeling fresh all day long.

Once you’re moisturized and perfumed, don’t forget about deodorant or antiperspirant. Especially on hot and humid days, these products can help keep stinky sweat at bay, and if needed you can reapply throughout the day. These items come in a range of forms and scents from spray on fresh rain to baby powder solid stick and endless other choices. Try out some different ones and see which one works the best for you.

Moreover, don’t forget your teeth and mouth. When you have a fresh smelling body, the last thing you want is bad breath. Brush twice a day and floss once a day. You can also use mouth wash rinses to keep your breath fresh. And a bonus tip? Drink lots of water because a dry mouth can easily cause bad breath.

Use all these tips together to keep you smelling fresh and clean all day long.
